WalMart has some good chopped sirloin hamburger meat. You can tell it's real sirloin. I buy it and use 1/2 of it for 4 hamburgers and the other 1/2 for a pot of chili.

I've been too busy to do much cooking lately. Meanwhile, My kid that moved out a few weeks ago has been sending me pics of how HE has been eating. I guess I taught him well. Burgers, YFT and Lamb. Now that classes have started, he will most likely be back to mac-n-cheese and frozen pizza. LOL

Craving cheesesteak, but trying to keeps carbs out of my life. I sautéed a sweet onion and added in some pickled jalapeños. Put that in a bowl and set aside and then I browned up some fresh ground beef from Publix. Drained well and seasoned with S & P, then added back in the onions and jalapeños. Let that marry together for a bit then threw 5 slices of Provolone on top, cover pan for a few minutes, and then served. I have made it for myself prior, but wife had never had it. She swears it tastes like the an authentic Italian Beef sandwich. I just think it is a good cheaper option to a Philly cheesesteak.

Where he has one upped me, is his prep. He has always made his own sauces, marinades, broths and other condiments. He is really good at it, and it is usually amazing. This is him( he’s a freakin Saucier! LOL)
