Spent four days in Chattanooga and six days near Blue Ridge Georgia with my GF, daughter and grandson. We ate out every night in Chattanooga and cooked quite a bit at the cabin in Blue Ridge. The meals varied from chili, Swedish meatballs, seafood bake and this was Friday’s meal and the view and view from the cabin. We went to a restaurant in Blue Ridge and had some of the tastiest ribs I have ever eaten. They were called sticky ribs and were slow cooked then deep fried and served with an Asian honey glaze. They were awesome. Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedAttachment DeletedAttachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

^ Very nice. How high is the water in the lake at Blue Ridge? Last time I was there it was super low as they were doing dam work, boats were land locked at their docks.
Food looks amazing.

We drove over the dam twice but I really couldnt tell what the water level was like. We didnt do much exploring other than going to lunch at the Toccoa Riverside Restaurant. A trip to the apple orchard and dinner in town one night.

We quit scalloping years ago, would have quit sooner if I’d known about these. 6# for $40. Better than dealing with dorks all day (after dropping $100 on fuel and fearing for my family’s safety)All for 1# or so. So yeah, they are pretty good.

It's getting homemade chili time of year. I like it too. Cut up a few jalapeno peppers in it.

Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedKicked working to the curb and went to Talbot Island hoping to get a few hours in early before the forecast 15-20 from the NE churned things up. NWS nailed the forecast as by 12:30 it was unfishable. But....before that, 2 tiny pompano, 1 red of 14 inches, 2 undersized drum, a ladyfish, 3 jacks and 18 not large whiting. Though, whiting don't have to be large for old school fish eaters who are unbothered by a few bones and who fry the backbones crisp!

LOL, steaks took 4 or 5 minutes. They were perfect ( although, I have no hair left on my forearms). I had to find my silicone mittens to get them off.

I love fried whiting with corn meal. My mother made the best fried pan fish and fried whiting. Rake that flaky meat with your teeth right off the backbone. Memories.

Cowboy stew. Meat was venison burger and pork sausage. Lot of veges and seasoning. Kept it a little on the mild side but could really “heat it up” if needed. It was excellent!

Last minute decision to grill burgers and I'm trying to caramelize onions faster than any wanna be chef ever should! Having some fries, baked, to go along with the burgers.

Meatloaf, collards with rutabaga and ribs used to season the collards. I love boiled pork and these ribs were great. Tomorrow, I'll take the rest of the ribs, toss em with a little flour and deep fry just long enough to put a crust on em and have more collards. Attachment Deleted
