Is that the German/Dutch Village? yes, BUT it has turned into a freakin tourist trap. It's like a miniature Disney. Worth seeing once every 5 years or so. Some decent wineries, breweries and waterfalls scattered around. Restaurants are heavy on Bavarian fare. US 78 through blairsville, hiwassee towards Clayton is nice. If you ride over to Clayton, go north to Franklin NC, and take US 64 west to Murphy NC. It's a beautiful drive. Nice large casino in Cherokee. Another in Murphy that's OK.

I am trying to find a VRBO on a lake, river, or Ocean with a fenced yard and a dock to fish off. I found one around Tampa on a canal so far. Just want a place to take the dog and sit back and fish off the dock for a few days. Looking at October or November when it cools off a bit.
Am I likely to catch anything in the canals near Signal Cove in Hudson Florida? Some of you guys live on channels, is the fishing decent?

We are in Bogotá for this week, and then will go to Spring Lake Michigan for a month. To escape the heat. We also have next years cottage lined up in Holland Michigan for July. I just can't take the heat any more.

We have not taken a vacation since COVID-19 and currently have no plans for this summer. Traveling for us is not like it used to be.

Just walked in the door 30 minutes ago from a trip to Vancouver and a cruise to Alaska. Talk about polar opposites for weather. Woke up this morning in Vancouver, it was 50 degrees and rainy. Got off the plane on the jetway and could already feel the heat and humidity... It's going to be a long long summer...The cruise was fantastic, btw. What unbelievably beautiful country. Not sure why anyone lives there full time, but beautiful all the same. One of my reasons to head to Maine for her. Breaks up the summer. Maybe I'llbe lucky and get a little leaf action. That is one thing I really miss being in Florida.

Croatia and maybe take a ferry to Greece. Been to Dubrovnik in Croatia and to Greece. I’d definitely go again. Dubrovnik was just really cool and a lot of history. Greece was beautiful and a lot of interesting agricultural, wineries and neat old fishing boats. Very scenic. Sounds like a great trip! My daughter and her beau may buy a place in Zagreb, we are visiting them to check things out.

Those early space capsules were so tiny it would kill me. I'm so claustrophobic I would freak out getting in one.
