First turkey off the farm! He gobbled at 75 yards for almost 2 hours. Finally I got tired of it and shut up. 10 minutes later he comes storming in. #5s hit him at about 25 yards to end the morning.

Buddy's private land bird this AM. Turkeys sure do like burns, but it is sure easy to be seen. Sorry about the photo, I tried to edit it but no luck Attachments:

Gobbling is non-existent down South. I missed one 3 weeks ago when he came in on my most exposed side. Gotta hit the spot and stalk spot

Is it legal to shoot one over a Miller? Seems a little too easy… Congrats on a great hunt of a double beard!

Diet Miller is the secret to success! We were hunting in Franklin Co on my buddies in-laws farm. Come to find out that county has the most birds killed in it than any other in the state. We were on a 200+ acre farm, rolling hills with lots of woods and pastures. We took 10 lbs of pink shrimp and 5 vacuum packed grouper, invited the neighbors over for dinner and were given access to their farm which was another 200+ acres. We heard more birds gobbling every morning than I could count. Was truly a really great place to hunt. Got invited back for next year as long as we bring the seafood! LOL

So they decoyed on the grouper. Smart man.
Sounds like it was a pretty awesome location to hunt.
Congrats all around Dr.

Dr. G is onto something smart. Bait up the neighboring landowners for a can’t miss hunt. Glad you got the great hunt!

Pulled through the gate in Hernando Co. yesterday morning to fill feeders. Big strutter all blown up with 3 hens showing off in the pasture by the barn. See you next year big boy! Also saw one strutting on the parkway between 54 and 52. Time to go fishing..............

Still gobbling good in South FL despite the 95 degree temps. Heard about a dozen gobbles between 3 different birds while waiting on a hog this morning.
