Much better weather so we fished longer than usual and only had time for 11 bugs

Be careful cleaning that lionfish. A buddy got stuck by one a couple of weeks ago, he said it made him forget about his gout flare-up.

Be careful cleaning that lionfish. A buddy got stuck by one a couple of weeks ago, he said it made him forget about his gout flare-up. First time I ever saw one in the keys, years ago, it came out from under a ledge and stuck me in the leg. Super aggressive. I’ve been stung by coral, jellyfish, man o war, a cloud of something I call “jellyfish larvae”, bees, wasps, and even had a brown recluse bite. None of them really phased me except the man o war. Anything else in the water, I can push through and keep lobstering. That lion fish poke made me forget my name it hurt so much. I literally called it a day and went back to my hotel. |
