Due to health issues, I have not tried to hunt this season. The chemo has been rough. While I am regaining my strength, I did not feel like I could walk the quarter mile to my stand. Doe day in C5, so I got buddy to go with me today, drove UTV to within 200 yds and walked rest. Daylight comes with a smallish doe, decided to pass. Two hours later big body 6 pt shows up. Neck shot, dropped at processor and home before lunch Life is good.

Best wishes with your treatments.
Glad to hear you’re getting out there. Nothing helps keep your mind right like a good dose of nature during times like that.

Fresh air and sunrises are what keeps you going. Good deal on getting out there and putting some meat on the table!

I'm battling this same stuff with my hunting Pard of 40 years. He's healthy but his new hobby is looking out the window all day and cooking fancy food for his wife. It's hard to get him out now and he's gonna regret wasting the last best years of his life.. He's gonna hunt Tomm close by just because I drug a nice buck into his yard on my 4 wheeler this morning... Don't want to see him just give up.
