Good stuff.... You gave that first one a hair cut.. Or maybe hare cut! Yeah I wondered it I shot a hole in its ear. Next hunt I’m going to bring a quality camcorder and try to get some proper 4K video that will show details like that.

I'm impressed on the performance of the .30 cal. What is the weight of the pellet, what's the speed/fps.?

I'm impressed on the performance of the .30 cal. What is the weight of the pellet, what's the speed/fps.? 45 grains, and I think I have the gun set for either 850fps on the low end or 900fps on the high end. Its been a while since I chronied it. This gun is a pistol carbine with a short barrel. Very light. Quieter than how it sounds on the video. My lapel mike I was wearing is good for voice and not much else. Its good for about a dozen shots at this power level. I can change out the barrel and the breech cocker and run it as a .25. Its quieter as a .25 and gets more shots. But for the power and damage the .30 produces I prefer it in this configuration. Plus its deer-legal in .30. If I’m squirrel hunting and a big buck appears I can brain shoot it. The .30 I deer hunt with for taking normal lung shots spits out a 98 grain hp bullet at 900-910fps for several shots.

Good hunt. Rabbit is one of my favorite meats. BTW - you can get a lot of meat off the back of the rabbit as well. I usually split it length wise into two pieces. You’re right on the easy skinning w/o a knife. We grab the loose skin where it attaches the leg to the body and start the process by pulling it off at that point.

I cleaned many a rabbits when I was a kid. Hunting in the orange groves back in the 60s. It wasn't nothing to kill 7 or 8 in no time. Weren't no season on rabbits but salt and pepper. Like the old joke said.
