PE 10/14

Got a decent start outta PE this morning, cleared the cut by 730 and greeted by 2-3 ft seas with the wind outta the NE. Ran due east and in 850 saw some scattered weeds and a tiny line developing heading N. Started putting the spread out and got a double hook up with only 2 baits out, fought them and pitched a ballyhoo out and ended getting 4 fish to start out, all fish 27-30 inches. Started working the area south cuz of the N sea and a little inshore see a floater, troll by another 20 gallon water tank and get another double and 3 more on pitch baits. Fish were all about the same size, 25-30 inches again. Kept working SE on scattered weeds and picked up 1 more 23 inch fish. Weeds died out so turned north for a bit and see a pallet floating in the distance. Pass by it, nothing, turn hard back on it to try and let the baits drop and come tight on a 7 lb weehoo. Get him to the boat but let him go to grow. Kept working north to get back on the weeds and got into another group of fish and catch 5 but only 1 is a keeper. Called it at noon and ran back to port.
