A GSP officer chased a man on an ATV. He got it stopped with his car. The man ran and the officer put the k9 after him. The dog bit him on the neck and arm. They life flew him to the trauma center in Macon. They had to amputate his arm. After 5 days in the hospital he died.
They're going to do an autopsy on him today. His family said it was from the neck bite.
This happened in Moultrie GA where Reck lived.

As in the other case, I'll have to see the circumstances.
On the surface, the perp ran.
Hate to hear he lost his life. RIP

puncture wounds are very difficult to treat ... it's hard to get the antibiotics to the damaged area ... It also depends on the breed of dog. The African Retrievers are especially vicious.  |

"Fleeing Felons" are, unfortunately, S.O.L..
No matter the type of crime, if it's a felony, there's no way out.
A kill-shot in the back of a fleeing teenager was the case that "The Supreme's" used.
The doctrine has been in effect for decades.
