As we do not do cable or any of the rest of that sort of thing what we do when we hit garage and estate sales is look through the videos.....prices often ending up being in the 50 cents or....if they've more than a few...down to the 10 cent range.
Downside is that now and and again we end up with something one of us likes and the other finds to be twattle or the like.......
And now, right now, now as we consume shrimp and mangrove ceviche while watching deer feed right off the front porch, there is about the 5th episode of Grays Anatomy running through the DVD player.
What total junk......but......as the woman is happy with it....my mouth is shut......

Did y’all buy the entire collection? If so things do fall on the ground and get ruined.

Back in the day, when the transition from tape to CD was well underway, odd movies showed up. Both VHS tapes, and CD's of very old material, would drop at the dollar stores. This is one that we found, watched once, and gave away as a Xmas present. www.imdb.com/title/tt0060073/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_3_nm_3_in_0_q_africa%2520blood%2520and%2520gtsEvidently, we had the censored version ... ( the imdb site has some gruesome details. ) This was a hand-held camera documentary shot in Africa during the "transition" from White colonial rule. One thing of interest to outdoorsmen was a very, very, long tracking shot. Quite literally, a tracking shot. The crew is in a boxcar on a slow moving train. The camera is pointed at a right angle, towards the landscape. All you can see, from about five yards away to about 40 yards away, is bones ... bleached White bones of large animals. It seems to go one and on .... absolutely stunning in its' simplicity, and finality. The natives were restless, hungry, and had modern weapons. The final scene was filmed in the Congo ... a Belgian mercenary behaving quite badly.

Did y’all buy the entire collection? If so things do fall on the ground and get ruined. I honestly do not know how many she picked up.........but.....however many it is it's WAY TOO MANY!!! And.....as TRT sorta suggests.....I have asked ( On more than this set of programs. ) for permission to heckle. To her credit......I often get permission. But I have to be careful of the line, and as I never know for sure where the line might be I end up wandering off to do something else rather than risk it.......

BSWIV, you are a wise man. Keep in mind that Vikings are ancient history and we are wise to study history, lest we repeat it
