I usually release sailcats since they are a pain to clean and slime lop the cooler but if they are caught in clean water and not in the backcountry they are very decent table fair. They also should be skinned. I don’t eat red meat…only seafood and poultry, so i can't say i am a pescatarian but i enjoy over ten different types pf seafood plus the fish i catch. All the seafood I consume is wild caught except Barramundi from Australia

i dont want to start a discussion on freezing fish so i will say i employ methods used by many people. Distances vary since i trailer my boat...20 to 100 miles.
