Popping Cork works real nice if you leave the stem in it..

I think that has to be a typo and they added a 1 on top of $29.00. Even $29.00 is on the high side but it is West Marine.

I wonder what a man could get for a pair of brass balls?

Popping Cork works real nice if you leave the stem in it.. So does a jitterbug w hooks removed. Had to do that in a rental boat once. Told the guy and he gave as a cork to put in hole.

That's about the going price for a Perko 1 in npt brass plug. Most boats use a ½ in npt plug at about 15 bucks or so. The person that owns a boat using a 1 inch plug probably won't flinch at a hundred bucks.

I keep multiple drain plugs on every boat I own. I’m sure I have spent well over that $. A sock still works, just gotta troll a little faster. I keep a box of marine tex also, that stuff will plug anything in a pinch.

I dont shop at west marine. I’m still pissed at them for buying out E&B Marine and closing all the stores.

As someone who worked for Seatow, always keep a nerf football on your boat.

A few years ago my job mandated that we could not use adjustable wrenches. All adjustable wrenches on sire had to be destroyed or disposed of. Well I be damn if I was gonna destroy or dispose of those brand new brass adjustable wrenches in the tool room 😁

My boat has a regular plug - twist or flip rubber type. Always have a spare and secure the one that's in use with a cable so it can't walk far.
Those brass ones are tough, easy to lose.
