I have a family hunt around the corner from there but haven't been there in over 10 years. I'll probably return it just because I don't have time to get familiar with it and figger is better served in someone else's hands.
We're still eating on the 15 deer we killed last season so it's no big deal to spread the wealth a little.

LOL maybe 2 deer a year , not even close to what a healthy texas cougar takes. nothing was done for over 20 years bout them so there here to stay and the actions the state is currently taking by only paying a select few and weirdo tv personalities to put on staged fake hunts will never work. put a bounty on them open to all for a few years and see what happens. maybe when they find a cougar inside one they might reconsider there failing strategy. |

I haven't followed the Python crisis too closely (we need a current crisis thread)but at one time the area manager of Everglades NP would not relent in his decisions to only allow capture but not onsite termination of this invasive species. That still in effect? The FWC fishing regs concerning the invasive lionfish pretty clear - kill on sight. If they've ever heard a radio signal beeping from a collar once attached to a mountain lion coming from inside a python we would never know about it. I'll bet that has happened more than once. Never a chance missed to publicize a lion road kill on Rt 29 however. Those cougars are cronic j walkers. |

I leave our native snakes alone, but if I ever see a python, boa or whatever non-native I'll shoot it let the hogs eat when they find it. And they will.
