So.....in the barn.....don't remember what I got it for.......but there are 3 spools, one basically full that weighs over 10 pounds and two more of about 2 pounds each......and it is I think #22 tinned....or maybe nickeled?....high temp wire. Best I can measure the internal wire is 1/32.....and it is plated copper. Got it cheap with the idea of stringing speakers in the barn. That idea died. So there it sits. And the labels are so faded that I can not be sure. A picture of the bigger spool.....just in case...........     |

Seriously.......someone tell me what I actually have here as the choices are over to the scrap yard with it or if it's something special and useful then try and recupe what I don't remember I paid for it....... |

I know little about wiring, but can use Google. I tried searching for the numbers on the handwritten label. The order number and part number came up blank. Not much on Thermatics either. But the mil code 16874 brought up a few results. Looks like some kind of high temperature industrial wire. Thinking of like an oven or some other industrial heating machine.

Not a lot you could use 22 ga wire for. Door bell, 12v fire alarm system.
