My boss gave me the day off, so we are gonna see if we can catch some of those elusive and endangered red snapper in the morning. Then going again Saturday on a buddy's boat.

Yeah, he pays for all my boat gas.  we had nasty thunderstorms here starting about 5:00 am this morning, so we decided to not go. The weather has cost me more fishing days this year than work. Gonna try again tomorrow, but the forecast is about the same as today. It's flat calm unless you're in one of the storms, and the lighting has been really bad. If me and my buds were still in our 20's-30's, we would have went. now, no thanks, I'll sit this one out. |

Yeah, he pays for all my boat gas. we had nasty thunderstorms here starting about 5:00 am this morning, so we decided to not go. The weather has cost me more fishing days this year than work. Gonna try again tomorrow, but the forecast is about the same as today. It's flat calm unless you're in one of the storms, and the lighting has been really bad. Don’t play with lighting had a guy from my home town vessel got struck by lightning two week ago. A total loss to his 42 Yellowfin thankfully no one was hurt. When Mother Nature doesn’t want you to play on her playground take the hint stay on the hill.

Storms out on the water can be dangerous and very difficult to predict. Always better safe than sorry.

Got a friend still waiting on his offshore rig being repaired. It was hit by lightning a year ago. He thought it would be totaled - but nope, now he’s just waiting or going with a friend. He’s just happy they made it home safe (after a tow).
