just on quota hunts maybe it would be nice to know if the cameras you stumble upon during scouting are for the 1st 2nd 3rd 4th weekend for archery or for the muzzleloader or gun weekend. ran into a couple cameras the other day that had little notes pinned to the tree sealed in plastic,, guys name , josh a phone number and that he had the 4th weekend archery permit. i thought that was a nice thing to do to let other hunters know when he plans to be in the area, i hate finding cameras 2 weeks before my hunt and not knowing is this guy hunting same weekend as me or a month later. anyway thought it was a nice thing to do.

Many years ago the FWC was doing a turkey study around Grove Park and they had cameras all over the place. All of their cameras had a plastic label "Property of FWC. My buddy started putting the same label on his cameras, never had a problem with theft after that.

I could careless for when they are , I get there first I'm hunting that area . I get there and veg is parked I will go to my fall back areas . stop worrying about it and go have a good time . |

I think it is a good idea.
The problem is that the regulators are gonna come up with some dumb idea like you can only put a game camera up 2 days before the season. This is the regulation on our federal hunts but shows what happens when folks complain. Screws stuff up for everyone else. Also on the federal hunts, they think you can scout the weekend before and be ready.
Oh how I wish the regulation creators actually hunted.
