Annual Trip (going on 25 years) to Satellite coming up this Saturday. Last year was complete garbage. No fleas, no bait, nothing but catfish. A result of beach "ruinstoration" and thick, slimy weeds. Reports from late May early June seemed positive for water quality. I will fish regardless since we stay on the beach. But I would not mind if I knew what conditions to expect. Thanks!!

I haven't been there in a few years - we usually go in August for a few days. All we got was small whiting and catfish last time I was there but we did get a bunch of sand fleas. I'll be disappointed if the sandfleas are gone.

Follow Up… good water quality. A decent mixed bag of whiting, margate, and sheepshead. Threw a pogy swimbait in the evening and picked up a nice surf snook. Will post a pic once I figure out how!!

The box on the bottom left for quick reply will not be as easy as clicking "REPLY" at the top right of the long grey box to open up a little different looking reply box. There you see "ADD ATTACHMENT"
Took me a couple minutes to figure it out too. Hope it works for you as I'm a big surf snook hunter.
