So I am fishing off the pier in Grand Haven Michigan without alot of luck. Kinda depressing. I asked a local what spoon I should throw as I was throwing a silver one. He said silver and blue Cleo. So I buy one and this am head out early to throw it. Ruth says, get a net, I say, I do not have the time.
Long story short I hook a stud sheepshead (not the one in salt water) and its working my little yellowtail rod, pulling drag, and putting up a good fight. I thought they would fight like a carp, but no. So I get it to the pier and its just laying there so I try to pop it up, like I would a dolphin. Snap goes the line and snap goes the wife. I told you get bring a net.......
Guess where I am going today.

It happens!
Son-in-law hooked a big fish when tossing spoons for Spanish. No net, no gaff 😳😞

It's a good day when the Mrs gives her blessings to go buy fishing and hunting gear.
