Merrett Stierheim, former Dade County Manager, and a good fishing buddy who loved Flamingo passed today 7/7/24 at age 90. He loved Flamingo and I even took a trip to Alaska with him. He will be missed.

Saddened to hear about the passing of Merrett Stierheim — a true trailblazer who left an enormous footprint on the development of modern Miami.
His legacy is one of commitment to public service.
