If you have open ears and an open mind, you can continue to learn in life! Thanks to Eric Rosenberg for the invite to join him with Captain James Cronk of 772 Fly and Light Tackle Charters, 772-267-0095 to fish Tuesday night. I have referred many customers to James, who gave great reviews, although never had the opportunity to fish with him. We departed from Sandsprit Park at 6 and headed north on the Indian River fishing docks and immediately started putting Snook in the boat. We lost track of time and also the count of the fish landed, although it was in excess of 20 Snook and 2 Jacks. A few were 28 inches and there were Fat Snook, Tarpon Snook and Common Snook. James sure didn’t check his watch to end the trip after four hours and would have kept going all night, but we called it at 11:30. We had some minor rain but didn’t melt and the fish didn’t object, they were already wet. I learned some new techniques and really enjoyed Jame’s and Eric’s company while being King for the night, I was able to relax and not run the boat, trolling motor or re-tying. One thing I learned when tying a double Uni Knot is to always “huck tuah” the knot, not the nut, before pulling the knot tight. If you don’t understand “huck tuah” google it, it is the leading story on the internet!! I know my picture looks like I am the “Michelin Man” although I was wearing an inflatable lift vest under my rain jacket. Thank you for a great night James and Eric, I really enjoyed it.

Some guides stand above the rest.
I've been with a few who check they watches and often. If it is that bad set an alarm...
