Left really late. 9:30. Ran out. Found a rip with a proto weed line at 1100. There were 20 birds feed over what turned out to be a feeding school of mahi.
I was alone and forgot to thaw my cut bait… sure enough the first hookup brought the school. Oh well… got it in, hit the gas and another hit one of the lines left out. Got one more, then they spooked out.
Kept trolling the area and got a nice one going past a green bucket on that rip.
After a while, ran out to 17 miles where a bunch of boats were trolling patches. Got two shorts. Called it a day and got back to the dock around 1:00.
