I'm single, so it's easier for me, but I absolutely loved the years of owning my pickup/camper and towing my boat.
I lived in that thing for months at a time and over the 10 years I owned it, I covered 165,000 miles, prob'ly 150,000 of them towing the boat - all over the continent.
If something unforeseen happens and I become rich, first thing I'll do is buy new versions of those and hit the road again until I die - prob'ly not all that long, since I'm over 80 now.

I want an RV trailer... We are still looking for a place for retirement and the fricking cost is outrageous. Was thinking to get a home place have a lot somewhere near a fishing spot - I'm not really caring what at this point. Say a 2-3 acre chunk with septic, power, and water. Pull trailer in, hook the beast up and put a carport on top of it. Move it if category 7 is coming. Otherwise, use it for fish camp.
And maybe do the same in the mtns somewhere - a lil cooler in the summer, with a cold water stream out back. Either do the RV thing or build a small cabin and rent it to tourists or let family use it when not there.
The boat prices are still WHACK! People think a 15-25 yr old Boat/Motor/trailer is worth what they paid for it. GOSH!
My suggestion is to let them keep sitting on them til they realize their "pride & joy" is worthless. I feel something for the folks who pay to store the boats that don't run and aren't used.

I don't see it. Yes, the cost have come down some, but I don't think new ones have done that. And there's plenty of used ones that people are asking more for than they paid 5 years ago. The lower end market is still high, unless you want a 2000 or below model that needs repower, updated electronics, and a bunch of cosmetic stuff. I'm seeing boats that are in that time range that still have asking prices for $30,000.00 and more. You can't hardly find anything under $25k unless it's a piece of crap. Maybe outside of Florida and a few other States the prices are lower, but I don't see it here. I'm casually looking for a 25-26 CC that isn't gonna need a repower in two years of less, and the prices are still crazy.
