I don't want another boat and never wanted an RV. I have thought about an RV several times. Small 16 to 18 foot trailer to pull behind the truck. Never convinced myself to buy one. Thought it would be nice for staying in for a night or two headed to a VRBO instead of a hotel. We don't travel that much anymore, and my GF insists on a nice hotel when we do. The last time we traveled, we booked through Tauck Tours, all-inclusive to Utah, Canyon Land www.tauck.com/tours/american-canyonlands-grand-canyon-escorted-tourWhen we arrived in Phoenix Airport, and they had someone waiting for us. We never touched our baggage again. All meals, unlimited wine and beer, daily tours, including a flight over the GC and I never lifted a finger the entire trip. We meet some really nice fellow travelers. The best vacation I ever had.

Slept on boats when I had to. My idea of camping out is a Holiday Inn.

I got a walk around. Love it. Wish I had motors for it. My son is 4 fixing to be 5. I fully intend to get into truck camping with him. Would I like to have a TT/5WHEEL? Yes. Am I willing to pay for one? No. Sitting in a park watching sat TV in a TT is not camping. It's stupid. The 5wheel crowd has absolutely ruined St Andrews St Park and TH Stone State park. Why the hell people go to a state park and then bitch about lack of wifi and signal pisses me off. The icing on the cake is they don't like "other people " riding through the campgrounds. So they now have a gate with code at St Amdrews St park. Why do t they just go stay at a gated RV park or community if they want all that shit?

How long did it take to seal the breach in the peninsula?
The hurricane blew a big hole in it, and changed the Stump Hole quite a bit.

It's all about them......

A few months ago (June of 23) WE actually put a deposit down on a unit and then 2 days later came to our senses and cancelled.

So far i've been able to stand my ground.
I want absolutely nothing to do with an RV.
Don't want to drive one, don't want to have to maintain one, don't want to have to do all the hook up and un hook up shit.(not to mention disposing of the shit)
Basically, I'm to old for that stuff.
My idea of "roughing it" is a hotel that doesn't have valet parking.
Probably the biggest reason I ain't bought one.

My wife has also hinted at getting a RV. Of course she would not be the one driving and maintaining it. It is a no for me too. If I could have afforded one in my younger years it would have been a different story. Not today though.

I’ve owned boats and one nice RV in my later years.
When I was a young fella just like most of you, I spent copious amounts of time rambling through the woods and on the water. Often we slept where night found us and the bugs and heat were just something we’d put up with. Then along came tents and cots and all kinds of “Coleman” items.
Today, to enjoy hunting or fishing, I need a shower, a good bed, and an ac or heater depending. If I’m not clean, sleeping soundly and cool or worm, I can’t enjoy the rest of it. Yep at this page of my life I’m a little soft, but still getting out there and enjoying it.
As OMG said, I miss those days at the fireside telling tales and enjoying the company of assorted friends. A lot of them have left us or simply stopped participating. Today, a lot of the camping, hunting and fishing is for my grandchildren. They enjoy the experiences and my “tall tales”.

My problem is I only have 7 or 8 good tall tales. I'm sure y'all done heàrd them all a time or two in the 20 some odd years.

I don't want another boat and never wanted an RV. On the RV part, we agree. I'm being polite to you, so reciprocate. I have to revise my comment. On the salient points, we agree. Why did you rat me out? .

Why did you rat me out? Why would I rat you out? I have never reported anything to Cad, and I believe he will confirm that. People I don't know can't hurt my feelings or made me feel bad about anything I post on here.
