She doesn't like bones and certain meat which is very strange for a dog. What she does love is fruits and vegetables. She loves to come outside with me when I pick cherry tomatoes. She won't eat them off the plant but loves the ones I feed or throw to her. She isn't a big eater and is in great shape per the vet (I think she could put on about 5lbs) so we don't force the issue. I guess that's not to bad considering I've always preferred my dogs thinner and fit.
What odd diets have you seen from dogs?

On our daily dogs walks, depending on the season, we follow the pups to various fruit trees, my wife and I call it the Fruit Tour. This years loquats, red and black mullberries, dewberries, wild plums, and blueberries are a hit.
Both dogs will eat anything...but celery. If they get in the garden or blueberry patch they will pick them of the plants, same with the dewberries despite the thorny vines.

My lab will literally eat anything. She loves watermelon and blueberries especially. And rabbit poop, lots of rabbit poop

My female bulldog likes watermelon.
Otherwise, any of my dogs like cooked veggies but won’t eat them raw.

Avoid grapes / raisins, those are not good for dogs.
My chihuahua will eat any vegetable that hits the ground.
Like BF, my lab will eat watermelon.
I work with dogs all the time (working with 14 right now) and most all of them love pumpkin puree and it is good for their stomachs.

Every animal on the farm seems to like blueberries except the cows. I can leave the cows with loaded blueberry bushes and the cows won’t touch the berries.

I’ve got two Boykins. The older one is a normal dog, eats most anything but some vegetables. The younger one has eaten anything and everything since she was a puppy. If it hits the ground, she eats it. It’s very annoying and we are lucky she hasn’t got something to kill her yet. Her favorite snack is my wife and daughter’s hair ties, she eats them from the floor, couch, nightstand, whatever. I was cleaning my shotgun back in the fall and I couldn’t find the rag I was using. Thought I was losing my mind, it was just right there…yes a few days later my red oil soaked shop rag turned up in a pile of dog shit in the yard.

Had to cut two of my dogs open, one ate a swim cap, the other ate a big sandwich toothpick. They are lucky I love them because it wasn’t cheap.

You might want to keep this handy dandy formula in mind...had to give it to one of our GSPs when we thought she ate a coontie seed (REALLY BAD). She thru up tons of shit, said hair ties, a couple of post it notes, some assorted other garbage but no coontie seed.
The amount of hydrogen peroxide to give is 1 milliliter (ml) per pound of body weight. For reference, one teaspoon is equal to approximately 5 ml, so 1 teaspoon for every 5 pounds of body weight. You may repeat the dose once more if your dog does not vomit within 15 minutes.

My friend has a dog, medium sized mutt, that loves carrots. I never figured dogs as carrot eaters, but he claims it isn’t that uncommon.

My dad's last dog would eat anything off his fork - even fruit & veggies, even hot sauce.

Our spoiled dog’s only eat meat for the most part. The old man (father) likes potatoes of any kind.
The rest are so spoiled that sometimes they just won’t eat chicken. Made a mistake and fed them ribeye steak once and they didn’t want anything else for a few days. No chicken, hamburger or eye of round which we usually cook for them. After two days they got hungry and started eating the other meat again.
Yeah we spoiled them but we love them.

My good buddy had a dog that would eat mangoes when they dropped on the ground. The dog ended up swallowing a pit and ended up dying even after surgery. Just be careful with what you allow them to eat unsupervised.
