Started the day chasing hogs.........got hot fast.......caught 2 by 9:00.......and then had a 35-40 pound pig go on a LONG trot which ran the dogs into the ground. Gave up at about 10:00 and went and cleaned hogs. And then picked wild blueberries this afternoon......more eats from the woods............ I should mention too.....darn good to have young guys out there so that us old folks get to do more directing and advising than tramping through briers. Though.....we still got a to do a bit.

Just sayin if you tie em up and keep them alive they stay fresh much longer. When you’re ready to clean them just pop in the head with a .22, slit their neck artery and hang em up to bleed.

I don't know about Ben, but I think the only hogs TRT is gonna run down, 'rassel' with, and tie up for later are the occasional "bar" hogs he spots at the local watering hole.

The best was was to tie them up... Castrate the boars.... Pen them up.... Feed them corn for about 60 days...
But now... and for a number of years now... you cannot come out of the woods with a live hog...

Yes you can. You just have to get the proper license from the FL Dept of Ag to do it. Plenty of people have them and transport hogs live all the time.
I don’t think they can legally be moved out of state live anymore though .

The ones we catch on the St. Johns Water Management District side we have to kill in place. On our side we can more them......but almost never do, especially as we've plenty of folks who want the meat.
