I’m watching the news and see all these anti-Israel and even pro Hamas protests. What are they teaching the young kids today? It’s sad. I bet many don’t even know what they are supporting. If they only knew that they kill gay people and abortion would be a death sentence in their culture, wouldn’t that change their minds?

Now do the innocent victims of Hamas’ terrorist attack on Israel. Or maybe the wedding party in Afghanistan that the U.S. took out
The casualties of war aren’t pretty. But it does come with the territory.

I agree. Rep. Mark Pocan (D-Wis.), a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, said he was opposed to the $26 billion aid package for Israel because it would hand more weapons to the Netanyahu government. The Israeli prime minister has ignored the White House’s calls to protect innocent lives, Pocan said.
“If he’s not listening to us on matters of national security, how can he be trusted with more offensive weapons?” he asked. “Enough is enough.” www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/04/20/house-vote-ukraine-israel-aid-johnson/#link-E5Z5FVVI4RD4VBOEP4N24GBFCI

The article forgot to say "according to Hamas terrorists, who intentionally targeted Israeli civilians, women and children, in their murderous attack on Oct. 7". Collateral damage isn't the intended outcome of Israeli attacks, it's a side effect. But Hamas targeted civilians. They were dumb enough to poke the bear, now they gladly use the inevitable death of their civilians to play the victim. Oh, and they lie, too, so any numbers they release are suspect. We should be fully in support of Israelis to defend themselves, as we are with Ukrainians.

I believe Hamas acted intentionally, knowing that Netanyahu would react the way he did and become a pariah to the rest of the world. It appears they were correct.

More than 30,000 Palestinians have been killed and over 70,000 wounded in the Gaza Strip since the Israel’s war on Hamas began nearly five months ago, health officials in the territory said. On Thursday, Palestinian witnesses say Israeli troops opened fire on a crowd of people scrambling for aid in Gaza City. More than 100 people were killed and at least 700 wounded, according to Palestinian witnesses and Gaza’s Health Ministry. Israel said many of the dead were trampled in a chaotic stampede for the food aid and that its troops only fired when they felt endangered by the crowd. Israel’s war against Hamas has created a humanitarian catastrophe throughout the Gaza Strip and devastation in northern areas like Gaza City, which are largely cut off from the rest of the territory with little aid entering. The U.N. says a quarter of Gaza’s 2.3 million Palestinians face starvation; around 80% have fled their homes. apnews.com/article/israel-hamas-war-latest-02-29-2024-ae3d114b28cafd3b1a806bfaa9f83cab

War is Hell - This has long been proven true.
There are civilian casualties in all wars. Are there numbers for the civilian casualties that happened during World War II? I’m sure there were millions.
Added to the fact that there are always unintentional civilian casualties, you have to acknowledge the fact that Hamas uses civilians as “human shields” almost constantly.
If they didn’t there would be no reason to have weapons in schools, hospitals and houses of worship.
The situation in the area is frustrating to all involved. I have seen videos of Israeli committed atrocities as well as Palestinian committed atrocities.
I have heard the stories from both my Palestinian friends and my Jewish friends. All have admitted that the hostilities continue because of extremists on both sides. Also all agree that the majority of their people desire peace.
A complicated problem that has been thousands of years in the making.
I know that both sides believe in the same God. Why can’t they work it out? One word. Extremism

Say you don't understand the dynamics between Iran and Israel without saying it. Those strikes as well as Iran's were exactly as they planned. Iran gave Israel notice prior to striking for God's sake.

The Iran-Israel conflict also serves as a reminder that countries do not just stumble into war. Leaders climb onto the escalation ladder willingly and in turn generate dynamics that they cannot easily unmake. The question now is how the United States and others can unwind these dynamics for a more stable, peaceful security environment. Missile defense plays a critical role, but technology won’t save Israel from having to answer hard questions over its security strategy. Looking forward, Israeli policymakers will face difficult trade-offs in managing their national security priorities. Hamas’s October 7 attacks inevitably pulled Israel into Gaza, but Israeli policymakers have chosen a maximalist approach that has pushed allies and partners away. These same relationships, particularly with the United States and Israel’s Arab neighbors, are especially important given their mutual aims in deterring and defeating Iranian aggression. Perhaps this week’s conflict—and the cooperation it prompted—may serve as a reminder of that common goal. www.csis.org/analysis/iran-israel-air-conflict-one-week

Sir believe me I have a better grasp on the situation than most Americans.
Do you know what some of the Muslim prophet Mohamed last words were?
“Jesus is coming”.
I understand and now believe that God had sent multiple messengers.
I also believe that perversion of Gods word as delivered by these messengers led to the problems that we have today.
