Drum, whitting.....oysters.......St. Augustine Inlet.

Finally got caught up ( sort of ) with the burning enough to where we could justify a trip to the water. Went old school, shrimp we caught during the run fished on the bottom.
First spot......before I could get the other 3 rods set up.....Louann had 5 drum, 2 of which were keepers. Stayed there about a hour. Ended up with 8 drum, 2 lane snappers, 2 puffer fish and 3 cats.
Want to guess who caught only 1 drum and all the cats......
Ran up towards Guana which is where we were going to harvest few oysters as the tide went low slack, stopping on a spot that will hold whiting this time of year. Had 6-7 in about 30 minutes.....
And.....first time ever in my life......had a whiting and a flounder on a double rig with dead shrimp at the same time. Flounder was too small......but still a first.
At low tide we pushed up on the bar there at the mouth of Guana and while I chipped us a 5 gallon buck of oysters Louann wandered down the bank looking for interesting flotsam, of which she found enough to fill her pockets and hands.
The land snapper and a couple of the smaller whiting are going in the lime in the morning......the rest.......we'll figure that out.
The oysters......they'll be paired with the ceviche for dinner with company tomorrow night.
Got at least 6 night's worth of eats out of it all.
