Ft. Lauderdale sucks again.

Went out kite fishing Friday. Ran from Port Everglades up to just south of Hillsboro. Stopped the boat to check the drift and buddy spots a flopper in about 220. Run a couple hundred yards south of it start deploying the kite and apparently 3 other boats seen it too and came riding right up on us. Drifted for a while catching 2 cudas time to reset. Deployed the kite, while bridling the second bait and not looking sail eats the long jumped a couple time and pulled. Reset to stay on the edge and got a few bonitas and had a few kings sky on some baits. Reset caught a snake king. Then tried to find the edge again by this time i was down off the Palms. Not another bite and the decent water disappeared. Should have stayed up near Hillsboro but a buddy had to be back at the ramp by 2:30 so just continued south. The fish were on the edge from 90-130’. I’m not sure if you guys have the same problem but fishing the edge always sucks between the Steeple and Hallandale. Unless you find the rare good water.
