When I search for something......like the other day when the solenoid went out on one of the carts....invariably it seems that a AMAZON items comes up first. And most frustratingly it is often only close as when I have typed in 3/8 ID hose and AMAZON pops up with a whole range of hoses.
So....is there a way to BLOCK AMAZON from coming up in search results unless I specifically ask for AMAZON results?
Lots of gibberish on the web about how to block things but nothing clear.

Nope. Amazon pays good money to be first.
It's called advertising.
If using Goigle go into your ad preference settings and see if it offers a choice.

It generally gives a pretty broad selection of suppliers with Amazon being the 1st. Just don't click on it....look farther down, but prepare for disappointment - you'll rarely get a simple response from any. Most will give a broad range of results. You still gotta pick and choose.
Personally, I prefer Amazon. Usually very competitive on prices and, a month or a year or 5 years later when you want to re-order something just go into "buy it again" and re-order. I seldom remember just where I might have bought some gadget.

They screw you in the drive through. You can use your Windows clip board. Copy the text, then hit the Windows key + the "c" key and highlight the pin. Then every time you need to paste it it's always there. Just hit Windows + "v" keys again to bring up the window. I keep anything repetitive pinned there. |
