Oh, had one gobble on the roost to the Owl call, gobbled on the ground going away - probably being drug away by a Hen....

I don't mind if the bird is gobbling going away. That's a huntable bird.
It's the ones that gobble on the roost and never makes a peep once they hit ground that piss me off.

As soon as I sat down this morning the stars disappeared and thunder was rolling from two directions. Only ended up with a brief sprinkling.

Told to expect 6” then at last minute expect an inch. So they were right. I think they’re trying to predict the weather to quickly.

I can drive 3 miles and run into pouring rain while it is dry at my house. Seems like rain avoids my neighborhood sometimes.

They shorted me on the rain, so we got turned around before daylight and waded through a cypress stand. It was plenty wet in there and above my wallet. Been awhile since I had to lay things out to dry. As expected, after getting out, one gobble from the other side of the strand…
