Got down early and got 2 dz gogs and a couple dz pilchards from Frankie Ashley and headed out. Set up south of the county recs, seas were 3-4ft but spaced out ok. Wind was outta the NW at 15-20. Started our drift in 150ft, but we were getting pushed out fast even with the sea anchor. Got our first bite in 290 at the end of our first drift. Got tight but couldn’t get out of the clip and ended up losing the first sailfish. Motored into 115 to start another drift but the water was really green. Gave it a shot for an hr with nothing. Pulled lines and ran north to the diamonds and started deeper in blue water at 225ft. While sending out the first baits hooked up another sail and pulled the hook. Getting a little frustrated, reset and did a long drift north. In 140 hooked and caught a double, then in 115 had one on and came unbuttoned, 2 mins later get another bite and caught him. Other then a couple sharks in the spread, we didn’t see any tuna, kings or mahi etc. called it at 230.
