So went fishing w dad when rain stopped.
Seen 6-8 diver ducks on water and eagle crosses in front if us about 10 ft off water, gliding in on them ducks. He got within 10-20 feet and a duck head comes up, then they all dove when eagle dropped his talons.
Eagle tried to have a go of it, hovering over the ducks and trying to catch em coming up. Then osprey got pissed and started bothering eagle, so eagle flew off.
Put some binocs on the ducks and closest i can say is surf scoters.
Pretty neat.

We watched an Eagle one morning in an impound you have frequented regularly over the decades. He flew back and forth over a wad of Coots and pushed them until they were stacked against the dike. It looked like a Sailfish "balling" bait. He then just dropped down and picked one up. EZ-PZ

If they want it, they can have it - worth the price of admission to see then come in and snatch em up.
