Dear Special Opportunity-Fall Hunt applicant,
As previously communicated, FWC staff discovered a technical error in the Special Opportunity-Fall hunt lottery that has affected the drawing results for all applicants. After careful review we have determined the current lottery results are not accurate or fair in accordance with the special-opportunity hunt program rules and polices, nor do they match the expectations of participating applicants.
To address this issue, all Special-Opportunity-Fall lottery results will be invalidated. Any claimed permits are no longer valid, and a refund will be sent to the original form of payment. A new lottery will be conducted using the same applicant pool from the May 15 - June 15 application period. This lottery process will be thoroughly tested to ensure the cause of the error has been resolved, and the results will be carefully verified for accuracy before publication.
We apologize for the inconvenience and confusion this error has caused. We will continue to provide updates to all Special Opportunity-Fall hunt applicants via email and will publish additional information to the Special Opportunity-Fall webpage on MyFWC.com.
