I need to issue Steve a “raincheck” although the weather,,,,

I need to issue Steve a “raincheck” although the weather was gorgeous, the fishing wasn’t!! Steve was the 34th member of the Stuart Rod and Reel Club that I have taken fishing and he is also a neighbor and friend. Sadly, I couldn’t buy a Snook bite to save my credibility. We fished from 9 until 1, catching only a few small Snapper. Finally, at 1:00, I hooked up to a nice Black Drum in the North Fork. My next cast I had a drag screamer and landed a 19 inch Tripletail. While fighting him, Steve hooked up to a 6 lb. Black Drum, a double header and the bite was on. Steve continued, landing 2 more Black Drum about the same size. Pretty slow day for my standards, less than a dozen Snapper, 1 Jacklet, 4 Black Drum and dinner……I mean the Tripletail. I’ll put Steve on Snook another day, issuing him a “raincheck”.
