Great to see the FWCC Osceola National Forest Hunt Map Legend differs quite a bit from last year's map.....
A sizeable new swath of ONF Public Land East of US 441,adjacent to the previously existing ONF Northwestern boundary,between Sandlin Bay to the North and Pinhook to the Northeast. Needmore Road/Sandhill Grade Road crosses through the middle of the new addition lands.
The Conservation Fund has worked for years to conserve critical lands around Osceola National Forest.
In 2023,in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service the roughly 14,000 acres known as the Suwannee River Woodlands is now in USFS ownership.
The effort builds upon the successful protection of roughly 9,800 adjacent acres that were transferred from the Fund to USFS in 2018.
