Hope you don’t mind if I hijack this thread a little. Since we’re on the topic of tick control, how does everyone combat the issue when hunting?
Personally I soak my hunting clothes and backpack in permethrin at the beginning of each season. I also carry a small bottle of it in my truck I spray on. I also bought a Thermocell for the skeeters this year.
What’s you’re secret for keeping them off you?

We work in the woods so permethrin is our friend. In fact Louann just a little while ago spritzed down her pants and shirt because later she's going to go trim a trail that leads to a stand one of our granddaughters will be using during the youth hunt. But.....a nice even spritz is all you really need. Also....spray your head mesh and gloves with it and you can dispense with the thermacell..... usually. We never spend the dollars to soak.... |
