I tried again yesterday. It’s really damn good.
Here ya go…White Boy Korean Marinade.
1 onion , 1 apple and 2 green onions ( diced course).
1 cup soy sauce , 1 1/3 cup water.
1 Tablespoon each: gochujang, fish sauce, rice vinegar, mirin and red pepper flakes.
2 Tablespoon each: fresh ground ginger and chopped garlic
3 Tablespoon each: sesame oil, molasses and Br. Sugar.
Bring to a boil and simmer for 30 minutes, transfer to blender and pulse it a few times… let it cool.
Pour over meat and marinade for 36 hours. Remove meat and strain marinade thru a screen strainer and bring the liquid to a boil, then simmer until it starts to thicken( to make a sauce).
I have no idea how to traditionally make korean bbq but, this was exceptionally good.
