Good luck deer guys. The only quotas I care about are applied for in November. I assume the same rules apply on this forum. Posting the word "turkey" or "quota" are strictly forbidden the entire November application period. Lol.

Last year my bowhunt got screwed by Ian and then Nicolle ruined my gun hunt. All my woods were under water. DEEEEEP water.
This year got no archery and one gun hunt in Nov. SNOOK...take notice, you're on the hit list big time for the fall mullet run since I won't be in the woods much.
Wish they offered points for being an old disabled veteran cuz I ain't got many years left and most hunt are "NO EXEMPTIONS"
Side note... Glad to see a new forum since FSF is dead.

I did not get squat.....
For General Gun... I have three points (Now Four) I applied for places I REALLY wanted to hunt...
I decided to jump in on Muzzleloader and Archery..... I have not ever applied for any MZ or Archery hunts before... But I own a couple of both...
I only applied for nasty places I did not think anyone would want to hunt..... Thinking... I would either hunt them or turn them in and get points... I got nada...

The demand has outpaced the ever dwindling supply. If you're shooting for a decent to good hunt you're looking at 4 plus points. Guys like me are rolling in on some hunts with 7 to 9 preference points. No hunt in any state is worth that in my opinion. |

I am Thinking spending 6 to 10k a year to get into a really good club That is not in georgia, is less hassle..... I can hunt a few weekends for deer, a few for turkey.... And photograph all year... |

I would love to get into a decent family club in FL but the costs are crazy. Since we lost our space in SC to a EV battery plant I've been looking for a place to hang my hat and there's more bullshit and money involved with most of these leases than it's worth.
My pockets and my freezer stay a lot more stocked by driving across the border to Georgia or SC and there's a lot less bullshit involved but I still haven't found a place to hang my hat. In the meantime I'll be slumming with the rest of the public land schlubs. Just like old times... yippee!
