VP Harris campaign statement about whether there should be a "mute" button at Sept 10 Presidential debate
"We have told ABC and other networks seeking to host a possible October debate that we believe both candidates’ mics should be live throughout the full broadcast. Our understanding is that Trump’s handlers prefer the muted microphone because they don’t think their candidate can act presidential for 90 minutes on his own. We suspect Trump’s team has not even told their boss about this dispute because it would be too embarrassing to admit they don’t think he can handle himself against Vice President Harris without the benefit of a mute button..."

Trump just threw his campaign staff under the bus.
A reporter asked him about the microphone issue and Tump stated it does not matter to him and he would prefer them on. He did not like them muted last time.

Then he waits for the big audience and says something stupid or off the wall and they run with it. While I agree, much of the media likes to make Trump look bad, he brings it on himself. He is as much to blame as anyone. He needs to shut the fuck up and focus on immigration and the economy. Just yesterday, as his campaign is fighting to keep the microphones off at the debate, he comes out with "I don't care and would prefer them on". Perfect fodder for the media and Harris to run with and makes his campaign staff look stupid. Trump does stupid shit like that all the time. |
