Government agencies are getting way out of control

Absolute power corrupts Absolutely.

Look at every government facility, small to local. Everyone thinks they're somebody. Courts... look at all those power hungry minions strutting like a Spring gobbler.

I do a large amount of work in the movie industry and have for almost 3 decades. Cable draggers walk around like they're multiple Oscar winners.

I have little doubt that abuses like this have been going on for decades. Ring cams and cell phones are just making it harder. Imagine you're a shop owner in the 60s and accuse the SS or any Gov agency of picking your lock and trashing your bathroom? Ludicrous antiGov communist propaganda is what they'd accuse you of spreading. If I got a notification my business has been entered illegally and the cam taped I'm not waiting g 5 or 6 hours to go check it out

If the secret service can't see a open roof 150 yards away and put people on it, and have the a representative from every agency providing support with their radios in one spot what makes you think that they would have provided a portable vip restroom for support staff to piss in?

I mean that "we picked your lock in the interest of national security so we could piss comfortably " really does not provide a valid authority.

It makes the agency look like the circus, not the "professionals" they hold themselves out to be.

Like the business owner said, all they had to do was ask..she would have  let them AND provided donuts..

Sounds like our government is not providing the same work environment that it requires by law of others.

Rules for thee but not for me.

I wonder where you'd even start? The agents can't all be that bad? Is it just piss poor leadership? Lapses in training? The inception of the Secret Service was a reaction to threats and attempts on the life of the President. Since it's inception literally every President has faced credible threats to their lives. And they have mostly dealt with those threats out of the limelight. You only hear about their failures. Have there been other close calls in the past we just didn't hear about? Or is the modern SS just that incompetent? I know threats spiked the last decade or so with the divisivness. I still have so many questions about the attempt on Trump. It just looked like amateur hour for all involved. They looked completely unprepared and discombobulated. Like after the first shot rang out he should have been swarmed and moving. Not piled on and stationary while everybody looked around.
