Reports seem to be solidifying that the shooter and a bystander are dead.
I am wondering if the bystander was killed by the return fire of the Secret Service or law enforcement. We don't see sign of anyone going down behind or to the side of Trump. The return fire sounded voluminous.

Partisanship can blind us to things........ He was looking right.....and was hit on the right side.......whatever it was....BBs or a fast spitball or paintball or even a firearm......the trajectory of the projectile would not have been towards the folks in the back of Trump. Partisanship is not healthy........ Take your partisanship and stuff it up your ass. Im not partisan like that. I dont want a civil war. 2 bystanders are dead. So was a real shooting. Where was the shooter? Where were the dead bystanders? Tell me how someone can fire 5-6 shots at a “target” with say 30 people behind him shoulder to shoulder and not hit one of them. I explained why it may have appeared that none of the folks "behind him" were hit and then ascribed the fact that it was not noticed how he was facing to "partisanship", that causing a blind eye.....in all of us. Perhaps I overstepped there in the assumption......mother hounded us on assuming.....that the reason you missed the physics of the thing was partisanship. Where the folks who were hit were standing is not of much matter to the families............. |

But it aint partisanship to think shooter hits him thru ear, where is bullet going? Forward or back? If it was side to side we’d all be singing a diff tune.
Didnt see a shooter behind him so assumed it came from front. Could be wrong.
Settling in to hope the media can actually provide us w good information as to answer these speculations many have made.
Again, partisanship should have nothing to do with this. Guy got shot, bystanders killed, police killed shooter.
Someone said shooter was outside security perimeter. True or not true? We’ll find out.

It appears the shooter was to Trump's right as he faced front and some people behind him pointed to the right and some people looked left. Maybe the person hit was in that direction. News reporters said no medical response was there, which is odd if two were killed. One reporter said there was smoke to the left where some tractors were. One "expert" said it sounded like small caliber pistol fire. I doubt anyone got a rifle near the rally. |

CBS is now saying several spectators were injured with one in critical condition. One died who was shot in the head.

Watch the video and the grandstand behind Trump. Pay attention to the top of the grandstand and to Trumps right (top left of the video). That corner has multiple people looking intently to Trumps right. Thats where the shot came from, from Trumps right. Crossing shot.

As a photographer I will say that the photojournalist has some big balls for hanging tough and getting those hero shots.

I think most of the hyperbole on here is just fluff. Have a good crew here, even if some toe the line a lot. He had plexiglass shooter shields on Jan 6. Maybe its time to use them for his rallies. |
