I saw another thread about vacuuming carpets. We gave up carpets around 20 years ago. Do you still have them?

No...
Wood in 3 bedrooms, marble in my office, tile in the rest of the house, master bedroom, and all the bathrooms.
Previous owner had a floor and tile business. He spared nothing on his own home.

We have a rug in our master bedroom.
It's a beautiful Oriental rug. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
my wife inherited it when her parents passed away.
the rest of the house is white tile.

Master bedroom is wall to wall..Dog crap stains too.. I tore out every other room in the house and installed high quality wood. Been meaning to do the Master but I'm too lazy now. Another big factor was I recently went back to the house I sold in Naples 5 years ago to take a look and meet the buyer. 25 years of making that house perfect and it was a dump now. I'm freaking 68 years old...I figure whoever gets this house will just have to change the damm carpet themselves. I can live with it...

Polished concrete in both the house and the work office.
Odd thing....once.....terrazzo was a big deal in Florida, and expensive. Folks knew the value of it, both ease of cleaning and the coolness of it on bare feet in the summer. How so many got driven to put carpet over it is one of those questions hard to answer........though, STYLE often trumps function....
And outside, split face block and basic trim, all of which requires minimal maintenance.....and the kitchens.....stainless steel.....
Form and function over style in our world.

We have it in the main/tv room. If we do get rid of it eventually, I will have to put up some acoustical panels to cut down on the echoing of the home theater/music system.

Lots of rubber backed runners so our 13 yo pointer can move about without wiping out.
Rugs equal nastiness.

Main level Oak flooring except the bathrooms. Tile in the Bathrooms. Ceramic tile throughout the lower level.
Rugs are expensive now and seem to not last like they used to.
Changed 80% of our rental properties to tile and oak already. As they come vacant we will change the rest.

Tile here.
A month ago I bought a new shark robotic vacuum.
That thing is the cat's meow. I have shedding dogs and it makes my life so much easier.
We used to have to vacuum 3-4X a week. Now we use an app on our phone and the robotic vacuum does the whole house whenever we want.
I had one 10 years ago and it was garbage, oh what a decade does with technology.

Hardwood except closets, laundry, kitchen and bath, but that linoleum looks like wood..
Last house had linoleum in laundry and kitchen, I put tile in the baths, and took out carpet everywhere and put hardwood down.
