The city’s entertainment industry workforce has been rocked by a series of unprecedented shocks, from a global pandemic to last summer’s double labor strikes by writers and actors. As the streaming boom has faded, entertainment companies have hemorrhaged jobs, and networks, studios and streamers have pared back their programming slates. With the industry in the grips of a slowdown and the cost of living in L.A. still high, the motto for those struggling to remain in the city has become “Survive till ‘25,” in hopes of a rebound next year. www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/business/story/2024-06-24/leaving-los-angeles-hollywood-strike-no-jobs-cost-of-living

Wyoming, Texas, South Carolina, West Virginia, and Florida are the top five with the most job growth. Adds another reason not to live in California. Thankfully, I live in Florida and will let California deal with problems.

When they get here, Florida will deal with them. There is enough stuff going on in Florida already with insurance and hurricanes to not worry about shit in California.

Just getting out ahead of the propagandists...
Newsome is on deck to replace Biden when the people running the show want to retire him.
And if California's numbers are wrong then the federal numbers are wrong.

California has lost jobs in entertainment, tech and in the farming sector (can you say "climate change"?). Highest unemployment rate in the country.
"“On the ground, there are several signs of even more slowdowns,” said Michael Bernick, an employment lawyer at Duane Morris in San Francisco and former director of the state’s EDD. Among them, he said, “small businesses continue to struggle statewide with higher prices and tightened consumer spending.”
He and other experts have a similar refrain about what ails the state: high costs, excessive regulation and unaffordable home prices, among other factors."

I don’t think Jed Clampett would move to California nowadays.

California is already full of people, they can't take anymore. The high demand for goods and services, including housing costs has priced many people out of CA.

I said too many people, and I didn't say it was legal people. CA can treat illegals any way it wants. The citizens of CA make those decisions.
