Good. Hopefully the trial goes forward and the truth comes out. I thought they had immunity from lawsuits, maybe lying defied it.

Id say it's been expected. There will be other states jumping in solely along partisan lines.

Id say it's been expected. There will be other states jumping in solely along partisan lines. Maybe there is some truth to this - those voting D would never think that the vaxx could hurt anyone and that it was a necessity. Those pesky R voters, well, ummm, I know a bunch of them that got vaxxed. Hmmm. (this is sarcasm) Maybe the vaxxes just didn't do as well as they could have if they'd been tested? Someone mentioned the immunity thing, surprised if the lawsuit goes thru. Congress gave em immunity. And then there were the mandates. Maybe the immunity thing only counts if you voluntarily took it? Or maybe it doesn't count if there is a mandate? Hmmm. Be interesting to see what shakes out.

Immunity? Pfizer and the United States government were partners on that vaccine. I’m wondering if the “immunity” could hold up under that circumstance. ? That's probably why the immunity was allowed in the first place. My bet is that it would hold up.

State's rights, different interpretations of the law, what liability does the government have, etc. By the way, this will be in Politics in an hour or two but the OP knew that when he posted.

The immunity you guys speak of is the 1986 law that protects drug companies that introduce new vaccines. The Fed has a program and a fund the drug companies pay into to compensate anyone who has drastic side effects from new vaccines.
It would not apply to a state or even an individual suing a drug company for claimed negligence. However, proving it will be quite difficult and I doubt the states win, more likely a waste of taxpayer money. If enough states join and the legal costs get expensive, Pfizer could make a settlement offer and attach a fee to all the drugs they sell to cover it, similar to the tobacco settlements. So much per year, based on how much fee is collected. The consumer pays for it in the end. The price of your medicine goes up.
It should have been in politics to begin with.

This was not political at all. Simply another health issue. If people insert politics in it is not my intention or fault. I could push a political angle into half of the threads in the off topic section.
If you deem it political please delete the ENTIRE THREAD.
I will no longer start threads in an attempt to generate content for the forum.
Most respectfully. Ken

Excuse me Your Highness, King of the Forum but Kansas has a Democrat Party governor. So it’s political? Dig a little deeper than the headlines Ken. Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach is suing the pharmaceutical company Pfizer, alleging it deceptively marketed its COVID-19 vaccine. Kobach, a Republican, is launching the legal challenge as the pandemic has begun to fade in the public consciousness. The lawsuit, filed in state court in Thomas County, comes after Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a similar lawsuit in November. Kobach said at a news conference on Monday that Kansas is one of several states taking legal action against Pfizer. The lawsuit is being brought over alleged violations of Kansas’ consumer protections laws. www.kansascity.com/news/politics-government/article289330650.html
