After looking at new(er) F250/350s I have decided that I will be driving mine for the foreseeable future. I hope she's got another 100-150 in her. The Powerstroke pages on FB have several 400+ 6.7s and one or 2 600k+.

Not too shabby! Keep that thing running, should be good for 200k more. I have a Taco and will get a Rav 4 or CRV when it is done. Tight getting into that thing. We have a 2013 Corolla, I can't work on that thing. Slide the card - ca-ching! Still do the MANual labor for what stuff I can - we have another $10,000 tree dropping job in the back yard coming up this summer, and supposed to repaint house over the July 4th long weekend. This one was last year - big maple. Figured out my tree stand would fit that part - lots easier than screw in steps. This year's is a camphor tree, visible behind and to right.

Benz gets $335 per hour for labor ... I recently had to replace a headlight assembly ... $1750 total cost. Parts and labor.

I have thoroughly enjoyed mine for the last 200k miles. I hope to enjoy it for several more years. I for the life of me can not see paying 50k for a truck with 200k on it but I see them everyday on marketplace. I bought mine with 38k on it and payed 40. Those days are apparently gone

Truck is done. They put a new thermostat and top radiator hose with no labor charge. It's nice having a good mechanic you can trust.

Some pics my wife sent me when she picked up my truck. Timing belt looks like it was in pretty good shape. AC still worked too LOL I hope they gave me the old parts. I'm interested what the water pump looked like. When I had the valve cover gaskets changed about 5 years ago everything looked perfect. Ol girl is feeling better already.

Taco has a belt and not a chain? Had no idea. It's a 2003. 2005 is when they went with the new bigger body style. Maybe they went to a chain in that year?

That thermostat housing looks pretty corroded. Did they flush the entire system?

I agree with the no car payments. Have had my tundra ('04) for almost 20 years, has 360k on it. Replaced the timing belt, alt, etc at 190k. Probably time to do it again. Daily driver. Will buy another yota when I get there.
