Hands down favorite fishing I have done for pleasure and work, YFT out of East central Florida. Strong 2nd is loading the cooler with Black sea bass, Vermilion snapper and other tender vittles. How far out for the YFT?

How far out for the YFT? Regular trips 75ish to 95ish. One trip we limited between 60 and 65 miles out. statute miles

I would need a bladder on deck just for a one way trip in my CC. Must be a big boat

My 1st adventures to the otherside were on a 33' palmetto with a CRT green screen running the radar. The rest on a 36' Contender with nicer Furuno electronics. Pick your days, even the nicest forecast days can turn unpleasant for the ride in.

Nothing like fresh blackened yellowfin tuna. North Carolina is a tad too far for me to just drive and fish. Louisiana is intriguing to me also but that's a pretty good drive from Tampa area too.

Uncle used to keep his boat at Cape Marina. Big Hatteras sportfishers would make “other side trips”. I’d fish the cleaning tables. Caught some slob snook on scrap yellowfin.

I also enjoy bottom fishing for grouper and snapper. I just don't have the tackle or means to get out there anymore.

But then I gotta drive 800 miles to get to saltwater while you guys mostly just step off your porch. That's one of my reds from Venice.

Nice pictures. Tarpon are fun. Too bad they dont tast like snook or red snapper. Then they’d truly be king.

Watching a big snook cruise down a mangrove line and pitching a mullet in front and seeing the blowup then getting whipped when he runs you in the trees
