She followed my kid home Sunday afternoon, I gave him the honors.
“Margie” ( after one of the terms the boys use for one of our local boat ramps).

Her tail is cut flush to her butt. She probably goes 50#ish.
One of her eyes is strange, not looking like a problem strange, just weird colors.
I think she is 3-5 yo. Hopefully the vet won’t find heartworm or such.
Regardless, she is good as she can be for now. Her gate is open and she has chosen to stay so far. That’s all I can do.

It’s those eyes that grab your heart. I think they speak to us through their eyes.
I won’t even look at any dogs for fear I will want to take them home. Man’s best friend is an understatement.

Had one show up at my house like that...
She was pretty as could be , Feet worn raw from running woods or roads either one.
I fed her , put her in my shop and called the owners phone from the number I got off her Orange collar. She was a Hunting dog for sure...figured the owner might want her back.
That ain't my Damm Dog , Don't know why folks keep calling me about her..
I finally took her to Animal control and told them the story.
They said we'll make him come and get his dog , I'm like..you know what's gonna happen then don't you..?
I told him put her up for adoption and put a note on the cage that I'll give someone $100 bucks for the first bags of food.
Never heard from them again.
I love them but I can't adopt them all..

Sure wish I could adopt them all. I hate what happens to them at the pound. Heartbreaking

Bothers the hell out of me.
I can't rescue all of them.
I throw a bunch of money at all the problems. Seems like a never ending problem

Stray dog, been in my barn since Sunday night. Explored every option. Signs, momma on assbook, talked to every remote neighbor. County won’t take her. The last thing I need right now. She is calm and sweet and begging for help. Eyes that stare into you. F me. How’s that girl doing? |

Doing well!
Having to keep her separated for now. Health check next week, our male mastiff is not neutered so we have to confirm that she is spayed before we risk that one.
She is comfortable ,safe and clean and well fed( she is on a diet though, she was too chunky). Vaccines and worming coming up.
