No one really believes that this will not be immediately reversed. Kangaroo court has destroyed the reputation of the American legal system.
We will see who laughs last.
Trumps donation website has crashed. This will be his biggest donation date ever.

Not illegal to pay a hooker to shut up, Obama and Hillary both got caught and paid a fine to the FEC which has jurisdiction over ALL election matters. It happened after his election and if it was for his image as well as political image. He is innocent. Yet neither one attempted to write it off as legal expenses No Hillary just paid for Russian disinformation to 100% interfere with an election!

It's not over Trump currently faces three other criminal cases: two federal, dealing with his handling of classified documents and his efforts to overturn the 2020 election, and a state case in Georgia that concerns election interference.
Lock up that criminal.

Cad can you explain the second crime he was just convicted of? Not one of a possible three, but the actual crime. As I said on the other thread, I hope they release that part of the jury decision at some point. A legal "expert" on the ABC live I was watching on YouTube said it was the campaign violation, but the may have been guessing. What I think, at this point, is immaterial. All that matters is what the jury decided and they had to agree there was a secondary crime. I want to know what they thought it was. this is from a news article about the decision Prosecutors alleged that the secondary crime is a New York election law that criminalizes conspiracy “to promote or prevent the election of any person to a public office by unlawful means.”
The unlawful means identified by prosecutors were violations of the Federal Election Campaign Act, the falsification of other business records, or violations of tax laws. Judge Juan Merchan ruled that the jury did not have to unanimously agree on what the “unlawful means” was.

Sounds fair. And didnt the FEC which has jurisdiction choose not to charge?

For some reason, they are making a big deal out of whether or not Trump gets to vote. Trump will be allowed to vote since the conviction was in New York and they allow felons to vote even though Trump is a Florida resident.

Well bottom line I know and you know it will be overturned on appeal.

The goal was the ability to label him “ former president and convicted felon”. I don’t think the juice was worth the squeeze.

Well bottom line I know and you know it will be overturned on appeal. i give it a 50/50 chance, but that will be long after the election is over. It will be with New York’s First Judicial Department appellate court. so he will still be dealing with the State of New York and New York Judges. I do not think that guarantees anything.

Since it involved a federal election crime or federal tax, I'm guessing the Supremes may get this after NY is over
