Where do you get mung beans? I’m going to start looking in to your Filipino meals and trying to make some of them as they look good. I tried googling to see if there was a Filipino restaurant around Tampa and it didn’t look promising and I love trying other culture?s food. Any Asian market will carry them. They are sold dry like lentils. In the 60's my mom would put Mung beans in a jar of water and store in the refrigerator. They provided fresh bean sprouts anytime that you wanted. Will the dry ones that you are talking about ever rehydrate enough to sprout?

Our version of fast food. Bogo Publix shrimp skewers( broiled w/ chili sauce and lime), birdseye Brussel sprouts and roasted baby potatoes(olive oil,s/p,dill,garlic and onions). Better than a bigmak, that would have taken me longer to go get. Attachment Deleted

Blackened chicken breast and sautéed some garlic and asparagus w/ a bit of butter and olive oil, and then finished it off with a little Parmesan cheese (yes the stuff in the green can). First time trying the asparagus like this, it was good, but I much prefer when they are cooked on the grill and get some char on them.

You can get a good char on them if you lay them out on a foiled backing sheet, olive oil and salt , throw them under the broiler in the oven, just keep an eye on them , can get out of hand fast. Dinner looks good by the way.

What did you put on the crab? I did some stuffed flounder recently and mixed the crab with: mayo, old bay, lime juice and pepper. Just barely enough to coat the crab. It turned out excellent.

lump crab, panko, [celery, onion, red bell pepper finely diced and sauteed], lemon juice, parsley, Tony Cochere seasoning
2 egg whites, mixed it up put it between two filets
Basted the filets with mayo, paprika, and egg yolk mixture
Baked @ 400 for 20 minutes. let rest for 5 minutes then serve
Chocolate machiatta Milano cookies and Haagen-Daz Mango Swirl Ice Cream for dessert
