What web site do need to look at for regulations and rules for hunting and fishing? More for fishing, I bet getting a firearm into Italy might be cumbersome... Thank you for the offer of help...

Yes, importing firearms in Italy it’s a nightmare. Hunting in public lands it’s practically impossible for not citizens while in managed lands it’s possibile but pretty expensive, although in Tuscany it’s for sure possible partecipate in some wild boar driven hunts at acceptable rates (but it remains the gun issue, our gun laws are practically paranoid). Fishing it depends on the area you chose. Usually any region has its rules but the most valuable waters are very often under private (usually anglers associations) management but paying the fee (it ranges from 20 to 100 US dollars per day) anyone can fish (no guide of course, hiring a guide rates are obviously higher). If you have any idea where to go I can give you some information. If you need a suggestion I would say northeastern Italy (Veneto, Trentino Alto Adige and Friuli Venezia Giulia) it’s the top for trouts fly fishing.

Been trying to post some turkey pictures on another forum without much luck. These aren't this year but new enough to be relevant. Was trying to show some nitwits on another forum that not all are overly concerned with their big turkey population drop. Log in and double click. Bird 4 may be a registry bird.

Next picture from same camera seconds later. If you are logged on and double click they open full size. Yes this is private land that is gated and locked. The area is 1 and 1/2 miles from closest road.

I would like to taste a wild turkey, but obviously it’s impossible (we haven’t them). Perhaps in my next US trip (if I will do the next trip to US, probably I’m in some black lists 🤣) I’ll find how taste this and also gator (other meat I would like to taste).

Meantime a clip of a wild boar that messed with my electric fence (that I installed recently to keep them out from my backyard).

Cute Italian story for you. While in the Navy in 1968 and anchored off Naples for about the 10th time we were given the opportunity to actually buy shotguns and rifles. I bought a Beretta Silver Snipe over and under for about $100.00. Maybe even less. The American dollar was at a high point. When we returned to Mayport Fl later that year the purchases were taken from the armory and given to the buyers. Bet that program is no longer on the USN approved list. After discharge, and newly married, sold the gun to buy a washer and dryer. Still kicking my self over that move. Easily the nicest shotgun I ever owned.

Nice story. Yes, Beretta shotguns, especially over/under ones, are true gems. I own three (two for hunting and one for clay pigeons). That model (silver snipe) it’s still pretty easy to find in good condition and good price, at least in Italy. But I can understand that wouldn’t be the same that having kept your, anyway sold for a good cause.

That critter’s eating well Balla. Might need to put him in the freezer before he succumbs to old age. Great video sir.

It’s eating my grass and my fruits so it would deserve a 30-06 🤣 Anyway I like more young specimen for freezer. Easier to handle and better meat… This one not so old anyway. It should be 5 yo…
